A New Year In Iraq (3 of 3)/103a.jpg

US troops rounding the site for my passport burning, Firdos Square (site of the staged Saddam statue toppling), on the day I burned the passport.

It is (as a matter of note) a US Federal Crime to burn a passport; I know this because it says so on the passport and I was explicitly told so by US Consul Carl Risch in Amsterdam the day I burned the first one.

I am wondering how long it will take the "security needs" of the US and "Great" fucking Britain to make this a "terrorist" act? Why not, "our" governments support secret detentions and trials and in the US the government largely supports Guantanamo's concentration camp. Under the traitorous Patriot Act any act that can possibly cause the loss of life is potentially a "terrorist act" and that will not be abused because the human rights respecting racist Attorney John Ashcroft decides ultimately who is and is not a "terrorist."

From John's point of view it is possible that after lighting my passport on fire I might have used it to light the BBC correspondent (who did not show up this day) on fire and kill him or her. If I was really savvy I could have used the BBC correspondent to light the CNN correspondent (who did not show up this day) on fire as well. And if I had the fantasy land kind of bin Laden ingenuity I could have than thrust the FOX News correspondent (who I did not even think to inform) on the other two and had myself a triple murder terrorist act; "send him to Guantanamo, he ain't a US citizen!" What a fucking joke and how bloody stupid are we as people to tolerate this insanity which dooms countless dark skinned peoples around the world; the "usual suspects" and of course victims. Do we care or not?
