A New Year In Iraq/12a.jpg

The reasons I came to Iraq - Reason 3; To burn the US passport I was forced 'under duress' to request so I could travel to Iraq for my own TJP Human Shield Action.

It is an irony of all ironies that I was compelled to get a US passport so I could travel to Iraq; and make no mistake about it I was bitterly reluctant to ask for this passport. I had just been deported from Turkey in direct violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) Article 13, Section 2. I was seriously looking at not making it to the very action I had started; an action I had put my blood sweat and tears into; I had no choice really. And it felt fucking great to burn this piece of shit document.

A world free of "terrorism" is a world that respects all human rights including the inherent human right to travel.
