But the good times were not to go uninterrupted, eventually I had a truly heartbreaking breakup with Ruth and in an attempt to escape the constant memories surrounding me in San Diego I left for Hawaii to stay my my dear friend David. So amazing how this love crisis ended up having such a profound impact on my life. Everything that has happened to me since is directly related to this the one and only broken heart experience of mine. Once again it is the hardest of times that we grow the most and therefore gain the most. This has so much to do with why I do not fear adversity or rejection now. I have been through it and realized that it is the fear itself that is truly the biggest problem, not the actual hardship. I live by this understanding now and forever.
