Inherent Human Rights Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) 'PREAMBLE - Whereas recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world,...' |
"If a man loses his reverence for any part of life, he will lose his reverence for all of life." Dr. Albert Schweitzer |
The 'foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world.' So why in the hell have we in the west allowed our so-called democratically elected "representatives" to greatly diminish freedom both at home and abroad, do grave injury to justice around the globe and worst of all employ war with impunity in the name of "security" no less? Why are virtually all of our nations signatories to the UDHR while our policies are completely counter to the stated purposes of the UDHR? Universal
Declaration of Human Rights Why
do virtually all nation/state governments effectively defile the UDHR?
Because we allow them too that's why. And why do we let them? Probably
because so many of us are too damn comfortable to care enough to act.
The hell our brothers and sisters catch is insignificant to our comparatively
petty concerns. |
